The Ceramic Association of New York (CANY) and the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University solicit nominations for high school juniors from area high schools for the annual Ceramic Association of New York Scholastic Recognition Award.

Engineering requires mathematical abilities and scientific knowledge. It has become increasingly important in engineering to have strong communication skills. This award is given to recognize a student who demonstrates a solid mathematical and scientific background while also excelling in english.

Students will be honored at a banquet held at Alfred University on March 27, 2008.
